Bashiru Hayford unconvinced by Canada threat

Ghana’s Black Princesses head Coach, Bashiru Hayford feels Group rivals Canada will be no match for Ghana at the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Canada which starts later this evening.

The Black Princesses will play host nation, Canada in today’s opening fixture and Bashiru Hayford is insisting his team has no fear for any opponent because he believes the squad is well prepared and psyched up for the Tournament.

In what will be his first World Cup outing with the Black Princesses, Bashiru Hayford has dismissed any chance of Canada beating this team today and has gone on to add that Canada poses no threat to Ghana.

The Ashgold manager believes that his Black Princesses team has more experience among their squad and the capability to spring a surprise in Canada at this year’s World Cup Tournament.

“I don’t look at Canada as a team that can beat us today” he told sportsccrtusader.com today ahead of this evenings encounter with the host nation.

“They have some good players, but they are no real rivals for Ghana because we have come here to do our best and ensure that our best will always be enough to get us through”.

“I am not saying that Ghana are favourites, but we have the mentality and experienced players to surprise people”.
