Baidoo invited For Guinea Game

Accra, July 6, GNA - Elizabeth Baidoo, United States based Ghanaian international has been invited by coach John Eshun, ahead of the Black Queens African Women Championship (AWC) qualifier against Guinea on Sunday, July 11.

The Robert Morrie's defender is expected to join her colleagues in camp on Wednesday two days before they depart to Guinea.

The defender's invitation according to investigations conducted by the GNA Sports is aimed at beefing up the strength of the team currently in camp.

Baidoo is expected to have at least two training sessions with her colleagues before they depart on Friday.

She is the only foreign-based player to feature in the team for the match against the Guineans.

Aside this, the player becomes one of the longest serving players in the team having played in all the three AWC championships so far. According to GNA sources, Baidoo is expected to succeed Alberta Sackey as the skipper of the team, following the resignation of the latter from the national team.
