The Black Stars of Ghana have been drawn in Group L of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The 2010 quarter-finalists will face England, Croatia, and Panama in the group stages of the tournament, which will be hosted across the United States of America, Mexico, and Canada.
The final draw, held on Friday, December 5, 2025, sets up a series of compelling encounters, including reunions with England and Croatia, two European powerhouses with rich World Cup histories, as well as a first-ever World Cup meeting with Panama.
The expanded 48-team format of the 2026 tournament introduces new dynamics. Only the top two teams from each group will automatically qualify for the knockout stage, with four of the best third-placed teams also advancing. This raises the stakes for all sides competing in Group L.
