BAG begins President's Invitational Badminton Championship

Accra , Jan. 20, GNA -The Badminton Association of Ghana (BAG) on Friday, commenced a Championship dubbed, "the President's Invitational Badminton Championship" at the D.G Hathiramani Sports Hall, Accra Sports Stadium.

The Championship would be used to assess the current standard of the national players, identify new players and subsequently select players to form the various national teams to represent the nation in continental and international Championships scheduled for this year.

About 48 Top Players in the Senior and Junior (Under-19 and 15) categories are expected to participate in the two (2) days event, for honours in the Men and Women categories, Boys Under-15 and 19, and Girls Under-15 and 19 stages.
