Ayirey, Oppong in Medeama's line-up

Medeama coach Prince Owusu has named duo Bismark Oppong and Victor Ayirey in his starting X1 ahead of his side's CAF Confederation Cup tie against TP Mazembe on Sunday.

Striker Oppong replaces Bernard Ofori, who failed to travel with the team to Lubumbashi.

Ayirey will replace suspended Daniel Amoah ahead of the massive clash at the Stade TP Mazembe.

In what appears an attacking minded set-up, the former Tema Youth coach will deploy Bismark Oppong and Kwame Boahene on the flanks with Abass Mohammed expected to be the arrowhead.

Francis Addo is picked ahead of Samuel Adade for the right-back position with Moses Sarpong expected to operate from the left.

Victor Ayirey and Paul Aidoo will complete the back four.

Influential midfielder Malik Akowuah sits in front of the back-four with hugely talented Eric Kwakwa and Kwesi Donsu expected to operate from the heart of the park.

There is no place for pocket-size dribbling wing-wizard Samuel Bio who has impressed heavily in the competition so far.

Medeama are aiming to cause a massive football earthquake against the five-time African champions in the Democratic Republic of Congo's second largest city.

Starting line-up:

Our starting X1 against TP Mazembe: Tagoe, Addo, Sarpong,Ayirey,Aidoo, Akowuah, Kwakwa, Donsu, Oppong, Boahene, Mohammed!! Lets go Ghana!!

Anxiety is building in the air for the two-time Ghanaian FA Cup holders, who must play above themselves to record a decent result against the Ravens.

Mazembe are touted as the huge favourite due to their immense pedigree on the continent but the Mauve and Yellows are determined to announce their presence on the continent with a famous result.
