Ayieyam and Co for USA scholarships

The Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association Francis Oti Akenteng has confirmed to footy-Ghana.com that clubs and colleges in Poland and the United States of America have all expressed interest in the services of more than 5 key players of the Black Maidens after their sterling performance in the ongoing Under 17 Women’s World Cup.

Notable names such as, Janet Ayieyam, Captain Pricilla Okyere, Naomi Anima are likely to move to the States on scholarship and a traditional women football club in Poland according to Francis Oti Akenteng.

“Most schools and clubs in the United States and Poland have expressed interest in our women, they have done well and that’s the main reason why they want them, we hope everything will go through because they will help Ghana in the near future,” Oti Akenteng said.

The Black Maidens failed to make a dream final place on Tuesday after losing 0-2 to France in the semi-finals of the Under 17 Women's World Cup and will try to settle for bronze against Germany in a thrid place match on Saturday.
