Ghana attacker Jordan Ayew played an influential role to help Aston Villa record their first home win in the English Premier League this season.

Ayew played the entire 90 minutes for his side as they managed to record a narrow 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Tuesday night.

The Ghanaian international was at his best as he tormented the Palace defends and created some few scoring chances for side.

Villa defender Joleon Lescott got the only goal of the match for the home team when he headed in a cross to beat Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey to help Remi Garde’s side record their first home win and their second of the season.

Aston Villa had gone 19-games without a win but finally gave their fans some hope as they continue to battle relegation.
