Ayew out to stop Swansea rot against Spurs

Andre Ayew will be eager to get back on the score sheet when Swansea welcome Tottenham Hotspur to the Liberty Stadium on Sunday.

Following what was a bright start to the season for both the Swans and their new Ghanaian ace, Garry Monk's men are on a three-game winless run - losing 3-1 to Southampton last time out.

This has seen the Welsh outfit drop into the bottom half of the table, something they will be out to rectify at the weekend.

In contrast, Spurs are in a rich vein of form, taking their winning run to three matches with a 4-1 hammering of Manchester City in North London.

Boosted by his England call-up, Dele Alli will be hoping to shine for Spurs as they eye their eighth consecutive league win over Swansea to consequently take them a step closer to the summit of the table.

The corresponding fixture last season ended in a 2-1 win for the away side.

Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen scored for Spurs while Wilfried Bony found the back of the net for the hosts.
