Obuasi AshantiGold SC captain, Awudu Nafiu is reportedly signing a new two-year contract next month.

The 26-year-old has concluded talks with the Miners lads and subjected to pen down a contract after the Christmas holidays.

His contract with the Obuasi-based has run out a few months ago.

It is believed that several local clubs have expressed interest in landing the ex-Ghana youth star.

Nafiu was one of the most outstanding players in the Len Clay outfit.

The Ghana Premier League is expected to kickoff early next year.
