Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender Awal Mohammed has arrived safely in South Africa for his medicals with Premier Soccer League outfit Maritzburg United.

Footy-ghana.com understands that, Awal will sign a three year contract if he is able to pass his medicals with Maritzburg United.

Awal was voted the Premier League’s best defender in the just ended Glo Premier League season.
