Atsu makes training return for Porto

Ghana midfielder Christian Atsu has returned to training with his Portuguese side Porto after recovering from injury, Ghanasoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 21-year-old trained with the side for the first time since suffering an ankle injury last month.

The talented winger rejoined the first team on Saturday as they prepared for Monday’s top-flight match against Braga.

Atsu picked up an ankle injury three weeks ago and has not been involved for the Portuguese side.

His return to training means he could return to action for Porto in their match against Braga.

The winger, who has made 14 appearances for FC Porto with a goal in his name, is one of the Dragons’ key players.

His return is also a boost for Ghana who travel to Khartoum to play Sudan in a 2014 World Cup qualifier.
