Two Districts Assemblies, Kpone-Katamanso and Ningo-Prampram have organised fun games to promote cordiality between them.
The fun games, the first of its kind, sought to among other things; promote peaceful co-existence among the two districts, who share boundary.
Both districts, which are newly created, have in recent past experienced bouts of misunderstanding over their common boundary.
Speaking in an interview with the GNA before the commencement of the games, Alhaji Essa Antiaye Tettey, the District Chief Executive for Kpone-Katamanso said the fun games would promote peace and unity between both assemblies in the coming years.
He said irrespective of the boundary between the two districts, there was need to promote cohesion.
He urged the staff and the Directors from both districts to, as a matter of priority, encourage friendliness, which would ultimately trickle down to the grass root.
Alhaji Sarhack Nartey, the District Chief Executive for the Ningo-Prampram District, reiterated the need for unity in both districts and called for strengthened relationship among residents.
He further called for more of such collaborative outdoor events to strengthen the ties between both Assemblies.
The Kpone-Katamamso District, which played host to the Ningo-Prampam District, exhibited dexterity in all the games played, emerging winners in table tennis, cards, Oware, Ampe and draught competitions, among others.
Men from the Kpone-Katamanso District, who remained resilient, crowned it all with a 2-0 win over their opponents in the football game.
