Ghanaian player Richmond Boakye Yiadom and his Atalanta teammates have been warned by the club’s fans to stay professionals and keep away from nightclubs.
The fans who have been frustrated by a run of poor form from their Atalanta side halted an open training session to five their players a lecture about how they feel.
The players were having an open training session on Saturday at the Stadio Azzurri d’Italia when around 1500 fans started protesting.
Training was stopped for about ten minutes as leader of the fans named as Claudio Galimberti by Gazzetta dello Sport vented the fury on behalf of the fans saying:
“We’re fed up with losing face. We do not want to see the opposition controlling the game on our pitch, we have become a home for other teams.”
Galimberti also told the players to act as professionals and that he did not want to see them in nightclubs.
