Ashgold pip Liberty to maintain lead

Ashanti Gold fc managed a 1-0 victory over Liberty Professionals on match day 25 of the First Capital Plus Premier League on Sunday at the Len Clay Sports Spots Stadium, Obuasi.

Emmanuel Osei’s first half goal was enough to give Ashgold all the three maximum points and maintain their points lead at the summit of the league table.

Ashgold will engage Bechem United on Wednesday at Bechem, while Aduana Stars, who are second on the league will host Hasaacas.

With three points separating them from Aduana Stars a defeat for the league leaders and a win for the Dormaa boys would bring them on level pegging on top of the league table.
