Ghana and AshGold goalie Fatau Dauda maintains his side was given a raw deal following their 1-0 defeat to Medeama in the Super Cup.
Substitute Bernard Ofori finished off a smart move for the Yellow and Mauve’s late on to give Medeama their first Super Cup in history.
Before that Frederick Quayson had scored what looked like a legitimate goal but the referee on the day called it for offside.
And Fatau who was in post for the game feels there was a conscious effort to deny them victory.
“I think that everybody saw the game and it was hurtful for us to score a good goal and the referee to turns it down,” Dauda said
“It really took a lot out of us because it was all part of our game plan and I still don’t get why that goal was ruled out.”
“I guess it’s the referee who can tell us why he decided to do that.”
“But clearly everyone is very disappointed with the outcome.”
