Ashgold beat Kessben

Obuasi, March 16. GNA - Obuasi Ashgold beat Kumasi-based Kessben FC 2-0 in the last match of the first round of the Onetouch Premier League match played at the Obuasi Len Clay sports stadium on Sunday. Right from the whistle of Referee Cecil Fletcher, Ashgold went into attack and opened the scoring in the 20th in the 20th minute through Eric Adu Poku whilst hi co-striker Alex Asamoah made it two I the 33rd minute to end the first half.

On resumption of the second half, Kessben led by Ransford Osei raided the goal area of Ashgold but their efforts were thwarted by the gallant defence men of the homesters.

Ashgold made a last minute onslaught to increase their goal tally but substitute Alhaji Sani's shot at goal was timely cleared from the goal line by Moro Alhassan in the 87th minute to end the exciting proceedings.
