Ghana Premier League side AshantiGold SC set to sign a partnership deal with English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanders over the next coming weeks, according to Kickgh.com sources.

The league champions willing be looking to secure a deal as they hope to hold talks with the Wolves over a possible partnership deal.

Officials of the Obuasi-based club are expected to leave Ghana on Tuesday to meet the owners of Wolverhampton Wanderers to strike a deal as they look to market themselves globally.

The Miners have already landed a new kits sponsorship deal for their next Ghana Premier League season campaign.

Wolverhampton Wanderers is owned by Chinese international conglomerate and investment company called Fosun International.

In 2011, Asante Kotoko signed a partnership agreement with English side Sunderland FC and their regional rivals will be hoping to follow suit.
