Asante Kotoko fumes over lack of maintenance at Baba Yara Stadium

Kumasi Asante Kotoko have expressed their unhappiness over the failure of the National Sports Authority to maintain Baba Yara Stadium.

The Porcupine Warriors are overly worried with the state of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, referencing the washrooms and the stadium seats.

According to the Policy Analyst of the club, Yaw Amoh Sarpong, the club pays for the stadium maintenance but supporters always come and complain about a lot of things.

“We pay stadium maintenance and a supporter finds it difficult to sit because the chairs are broken, things are not working at the wash rooms, counter are not working,” he told Oyerapa FM Sports.

“If we should give the figures we contribute to the stadium maintenance out, they will be forced to do things right,” he added.

The KNUST lecturer admitted that certain transformations have started but the Reds are unhappy.

“Recently, they are trying to put things in shape, they have changed the air condition , they have painted the place but the long and short is that, it’s not going the way we want it.”
