Asamoah Gyan visits his mother's graveyard

Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan visited the grave of his late mum, Cecilia Amoako at Mampongtem.

The 32-year-old forward has a ritual of visiting his mum's grave after every season in remembrance of the woman he has ascribed as the "love of his life".

He posted on Instagram," Today I visited the woman who brought me to this world to do the great things I’m doing now ( mom) I know you resting well and I also know You are always by me, apart from the creator. God guide you. Love you soo much".

Gyan's mum passed on in November 2012 after a car crash in Accra. Her vehicle crashed into a pillar at the Teachers' Hall in Accra.

According to an eyewitness account, madam Amoako, a teacher, lost control of the car’s steering wheel which led to her death at the Ridge hospital.
