Captain of the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan, says his most memorable goal for the senior national team came against Somalia in a World Cup qualifier back in 2003 where he was making his debut for the Black Stars.

The 31 year-old recently registered his 50th goal for the Black Stars in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia last Sunday.

“I’ve scored a lot a goals as everyone knows, but there is always a first time. I think my goal against Somalia in 2003 remains the most memorable goal because it was my first debut for the Black Stars,” Asamoah Gyan said in an interview.

Meanwhile, Gyan was yesterday honoured with the Order of the Star Award at the second edition of the Calcio Trade Ball Awards, an annual event organized to honour Ghanaian players who played in Italy.
