Asamoah Gyan is second most expensive legs in AFCON

Thursday’s edition of the AFCON Business Dairies is looking at some of the most expensive legs which will be running on the green pitches at the AFCON tournament in South Africa.

Some of the players make as much as the entire price money of $2 million the winner of this year’s tournament will take home in just one month.

With his new move to Al Ain in the UAE, his legs earn him $16 million a year without any tax deductions.

Asamoah Gyan earns a million dollar more than Yaya Toure’s brother, Kolo Toure which is a good reason to scorn his critics who were unhappy with his move.

Didier Drogba is still quite an asset even though he plays in China. He earns 12 million Euros. Mali’s Seydou Keita also earns the same 12 million also playing in China.

Togo’s Emmanuel Adebayor on annual basis bags around $13 million playing for Tottenham Hotspur. Nigeria and Chelsea midfielder Mikel Obi manages a modest 4.5 million euros.
