Kwadwo Asamoah’s agent has failed in his attempts to resist discussing the possibility of his client joining Napoli this summer.
The Ghanaian midfielder has been a key component to Udinese’s continued push for Champions League qualification this season.
Heavily linked with Napoli in recent weeks, the 23-year-old’s representative was initially reluctant to discuss speculation, but when pressed, did.
“Asamoah to Napoli? I don’t want to talk about this player because Udinese are at a crucial stage of the season, because they want to get to third place,” Claudio Vagheggi began on Radio Crc.
“Asamoah is a sought-after player, but I would not get wrapped up in this during a delicate time for Udinese.
“He has great physical strength, great personality and would have no problems fitting in and playing at a club like Napoli.
“I believe that [Federico] Fernandez’ failure is precisely due to the pressure that is in that city.”
