Appointment policy will destroy Hearts - Can Vanli

Disappointed Turkish-German manager Can Vanli says the Phobians appointment policy will destroy the club after he was shockingly overlooked for a coaching role at Hearts of Oak.

The former Turkey national team deputy manager, was highly tipped to replace Edward Ansah at the end of the season but the Accra-based club appointed an unknown Japanese-American Kenichi Yatsuhashi to lead the club.

Prior to this, the Phobians had appointed an assistant Coach before settling on a substantial head trainer leaving Vanli out of the picture.

“Before you appoint an assistant coach you should have appointed a head coach before the rest including the goalkeeper’s trainer if not, then it is unprofessional way,” Vanli said in an interview.

“The style will destroy trust and bring problems because it is the head coach who builds his technical staff and not the other way round,”

Kenichi will be assisted by ex Ghana international Yaw Preko.
