Ghanaian midfielder, Kofi Appiah, has predicted a keenly contested second round in the Island domestic championship, ahead of its commencement.

The Faroe Islands-based utility midfielder enjoyed a stellar first round of the campaign with his TB FC and has tipped his side for a late title run-in.

The Ghanaian credited the quality of opposition in their domestic championship with over four clubs in pole position for the title.

The second round of the campaign returns at the weekend with Kofi Appiah and his TB FC colleagues heading to B36 Thorshaven on Sunday in a bid to join the top four.

The left winger-turned-defender envisaged a commanding second half for his fast-improving side with an opening victory over B36 on Sunday.

“I am looking at a photo finish in the title race because many clubs are in top shape and can easily go top of the log.

“We are set for a keenly contested battle across the entirety of the second round based on the current form of my side.

“Many people are underrating our league here in the Faroe Islands but the gulf in class is simply awesome.

“Hopefully, we kick off the second half of the season with a convincing win on Sunday”, Appiah briefed sports crusader.

The Ghanaian featured in 16 of the opening 18 league fixtures for TB FC due to his versatility and has been tipped to shoulder more responsibilities in the remaining half of the season.
