Appiah Is Injured

The captain of the Black Stars Stephen "Tornado" Appiah is waiting for a medical report to decide for how long he will stay out of football following an ankle injury he sustained last Friday at the training of his Italian Serie A club Brescia.

The injury kept the Ghanaian midfielder, who is gunning for the best Serie A midfielder by the Italian daily sport magazine "Gazzetta dello Sport" out of Brescia's goalless draw with Chievo.

Preliminary test carried out on Appiah yesterday revealed that the ankle was not seriously damaged but doctors from Brescia want to get the full report out this afternoon to coach Mazzone who is getting restless over the ankle injury of Appiah.
