Anthony Annan sidelined by calf injury

Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan is battling a calf injury ahead of 1860 Munich’s trip to Fortuna Düsseldorf on Saturday in the German Bundesliga II.

The 28-year-old was absent from training on Wednesday morning.

Annan is reported to have suffered a sprain in his left calf.

He has struggled for games since he joined the German second-tier last summer.

Annan has managed only three league appearances for 1860 Munich who lie one point and one place above the relegation playoff spot.
