Annual Ghana Sports Excellence Awards launched

The maiden edition of the Annual Ghana Sports Excellence Awards event, a brainchild of the Hallmark Plus Multimedia, has been launched on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at the Accra Stadium.

This event seeks to reward hardworking sports personalities and stakeholders in the sports industry every December ending, starting from this year.

“As we create an awards night that recognises excellence and achievements, our team of experts would ensure that the event itself demonstrates equal quality and brilliance to make the audience and award recipients feel special and privileged”, said the Communications Director of Hallmark Plus, Phil Johnny Quartey.

According to Phil Johnny, the awards would drive successful nominees to always give off their best under all circumstances.

He said it will cover any Ghanaian athlete, sports media personality, administrator or stakeholder who has excelled as per the stipulated criteria during the period January 1, 2014 - November 20, 2014.

This, he indicated, will allow all our deserving sportsmen and women an opportunity to be nominated especially those who are still participating in international competitions.

The event is proudly powered by Hallmark Plus Multimedia, in association with Divino Events, organisers and founders of the prestigious Africa-Italy Excellence Awards, and proudly supported by Western Group (owners of BBnZ, DBS Investments and Daily Guide, News One, and Young Blazers newspapers).

Nominations will be open soon, so that the general public nominate and vote for their favourites.
