Ankrah and Sarfo Tyson for world titles

Boxer Isaac Paa Kwesi Ankrah’s dream of becoming a world champion has received a boost with the Ghanaian earning a date against British heavyweight, Declan Timlin in Germany next month with the Global Boxing Council’s world heavyweight title at stake.

Also billed to feature on the same night is another Ghanaian world title hopeful, Sarfo Tyson who fights Ryan Barrett of England for the Global Boxing Council Welterweight belt

Ankrah who has been training fervently under the tutelage of Coach Ofori Asare in Accra is fired up for the Kingfisher Matchmaker Ltd bill slated for the Müggelspreehalle, Bahnhofstraße 4, 15537 Hangelsberg, Germany under the event hosted by Michael Handsch (Berlin Bern Sportpromotion).

The Ghanaian boxer and his team including Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) General Secretary, Patrick Johnson are expected to arrive in Germany by the 29th January 2014 for the show which takes place on Saturday 1st February 2014.

Whilst in the Germany they will be staying at the Michelberger Hotel, Berlin, with all their travel expenses, air ticket, hotel accommodations, and transport within Germany paid for by the UK based Kingfisher Matchmaker Ltd.

“I am ready to bring this title back to Ghana. All my career I’ve been chasing the world title and this is just the opportunity I’ve been waiting for. My coach has stepped up my training regime, I am in good shape and all I need is the support and prayers of Ghanaians and I promise to win this title,” Ankrah told www.sportsinghana.com exclusively.
