Andre Ayew handed one-game suspension

Ghana and Olympique Marseille winger Andre Ayew has been handed a one-game suspension by the Disciplinary Committee of the Professional League Board in France, Dailysoccerghana.com can confirm.

The suspension means the Deputy Black Stars captain will miss only Marseille’s away fixture at Bordeaux at the Stade Chaban Delmas on Sunday.

The 25-year-old was suspended for receiving a red card in Olympique Marseille’s 2-3 home loss to Paris St. Germain in a crucial French Ligue 1 fixture at the Stade Velodrome on last Sunday night.

The ex-Nania FC enforcer attracted his first yellow card in the 54th minute of that game for a foul and was finally given the marching orders by referee Rudy Buquet for a second bookable offence in the 90th-minute.
