Amoah leaves Heracles; eyes Breda, Vitesse return

Former Ghana striker Matthew Amoah will sign for a new club next season after parting ways with Heracles Almelo.

The 33-year-old will not be handed a new deal after the expiration of his one-year contract.

His stint was hampered by injuries and so managed 16 Eredivise appearances and scored two goals.

β€œHe wants to return to NAC Breda or Vitesse and play there for a season or more before hanging up his boots,” a confidant told GHANASoccernet.com.

Amoah played for Heerenveen for a season when he returned to Holland in 2012.
