Amihere wins Celebrity Medal Golf

Nana Annor Amihere returned a net score of 69 to win the April Monthly Medal Open Golf Championship played at the Celebrity Golf Course at Sakumono on Sunday.

Amihere who played 82 In with a handicap of 13 will now be playing to a Handicap of 12.

Mordecai Quarshie took the second position with 70 net while Kwame Krunzu placed third with a net score of 71.

In the female segment, Aileen Conteh came first with 70 net, Joy Arkutu placed second with 71 net while Peace Acquaye was third with 76 net.

The one-day 18-Hole Medal play which was opened to amateur golfers in the Greater Accra Region, attracted 70 golfers.

Akwasi Opoku, Captain of the Celebrity Golf Club said plans were far advance to develop the sport.
