Ghana international Daniel Amartey was handed his second Premier League start this season in Leicester City’s 3-0 thrashing over Huddersfield at the King Power Stadium on Monday.

Amartey who previously had made only three substitute appearances all season for the Foxes, got his second successive start after featuring in the loss against Liverpool.

The versatile player has been given a confidence boost by manager Claude Puel filling in the shoes of injured Danny Simpson’s at right-back.

Second half goals from Algeria duo Riyad Mahrez, Islam Slimani and a last minute strike from Albrighton gave Leicester all three points and took them up to 8th on the league standings with 30 points.

Amartey had an impressive outing and lasted the entire duration of the game.
