Amankwa Mireku heads for coaching course

Former Accra Hearts of Oak skipper Yaw Amankwaa Mireku has disclosed that he is preparing for a coaching course after bringing his football career to an abrupt end.

The indefatigable defender who fore fronted the ‘’64 battalions’’ to win the 2000 CAF champions League and the maiden edition of the CAF Confederations Cup in 2004 has confirmed to Ghanasportsonline.com that he doesn’t want to murder his love for football and for that matter, his next level of development is to pursue a coaching course.

‘’ I want to embark on a coaching course probably next year because a lot of legends have advised me to do so and I also believe that I can be a potential coach due to my rich experience in the game of footballbut I will do it in Ghana,” he told Ghanasportsonline.com exclusively.

Amakwah Mireku, who was a member of the 2002 Black Stars Nations Cup team has currently hanged up his boots as he has now resorted to theologian work.
