All set for anniversary games on Saturday

Accra, Jan 15. GNA - All is set for the commencement of the Fun Games being organised by the government as part of activities marking the 11th Anniversary celebration of the Fourth Republic.

The Games, scheduled for Saturday, January 17 at the El-Wak Sports Stadium in Accra, will see the Executive, Parliament, the Judiciary and the Diplomatic Corps participating in the various events.

Others are the Media IX, market women, Christian Council and the Muslim Community.

The participants will take part in a special football gala as well as other events such as tug of war, sack race and "lemon and spoon" race.

According to Mr Frank Agyekum, a Government Spokesperson gates will be opened at 12 0'clock and admission is to be free.
