All set for FIFA Coca-Cola World Cup tour

Accra, Oct. 12, GNA - The Operations and Marketing Manager of Coca-Cola Ghana Limited, Anthony Chinebuah has said that all is set for the arrival of the FIFA Coca-Cola World Cup trophy.

The original FIFA World Cup trophy is set to land at the Kotoka International Airport, Accra in the next 48-hours for a two-day visit, and Chinebuah says they are bracing up for the visit. "The momentum is currently in Burkina Faso, after the people of Liberia had the opportunity of having a closer look at the golden silverware last Sunday.

"All is set for the arrival of the trophy in the country and a well-planned program has been rolled out for its arrival tomorrow evening." Chinebuah explained that the trophy will be taken to the seat of Government, the Osu Castle on Thursday, October 15, with an anticipated high profile VVIP viewing of the golden trophy, with President John Evans Atta Mills in attendance.

The Operations and Marketing Manager revealed that the trophy would be brought closer to the fans for public viewing at the Accra International Conference Centre on Friday, October 16, from morning till evening. He advised persons interested in catching a glimpse of the trophy to acquire tickets through monitoring the press for details. The trophy tour which is arranged by soft drinks giants Coca-Cola Ghana, is to offer soccer fans and others alike the opportunity to have a life time experience with football's biggest memento. The trophy has already been in African countries such as Egypt, South Africa, Senegal, Guinea and Guinea Bissau among others.
