Albert Commey rules himself out of Hearts of Oak top job

Chief Executive Officer of Aduana Stars Albert Yahaya Commey has distanced himself from succeeding Vincent Odotei as Hearts of Oak chief.

Odotei, who won the La-Dadekotopon parliamentary seat in year’s December elections is expected to vacate his position after being nominated by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo to co-deputize Hon. Ursula Owusu at the Ministry of Communications.

His departure will, therefore, pave way for a substantive head to be named to help the continuity of the administrative running of the club.

And as the search rages on, the Aduana Stars C.E.O’s named has popped up as one of the leading candidates for the soon-to-be-vacant job.

However, Commey, who once served the club as a communication director has ruled himself out of the club’s hot seat as he wants to help his current outfit achieve their target in the ongoing league campaign but wished the Phobians good luck in their hunt.

In an interview with Accra-based Happy FM, Commey reiterated, “The truth of the matter is I’m happy with my current position in Aduana, I have a very good relationship with everybody in the club. We have set a target which we must meet at the end of the season, so I wouldn’t let anything distract me.”

He added, “I have seen all the names earmarked for the position and I believe they are competent people but I think if my name has come up as one of the candidates’ job, I will treat it as a commendation because like I said, I’m happy with Aduana.”

“My time with the Hearts is over and it’s time for somebody else to take up the mantle but whatever decision they’ll take, as a staunch Hearts fan I’ll support it with all my heart,” Commey deduced.
