Aston Villa winger Albert Adomah is excited about their purple patch of form in the English Championship.

On Saturday, the Claret and Blue made it six wins in a row following a 3-2 triumph over Burton Albion.

The Ghanaian personally reached a landmark in the game as his 65th strike equalled his all-time best season record of 12 league goals.

BOATENG: NOT EASY TO SCORE AGAINST A TEAM LIKE REAL MADRID
“It was a tough game but at the end, we came through it, winning three points,” Adomah told AV TV.

“We got the victory and we think that was the most important thing. But we have to give credit to Burton - they actually put us on the backfoot for a few times.

“It doesn’t matter what position you’re in sometimes on the table. It’s a championship, very competitive.

“The team spirit is immense at the moment because especially with the winning run, and hopefully we can just continue winning games.

“It’s great winning six games in a row. I don’t think a lot of teams who have achieved that, and for us to achieve that, it’s immense. Hopefully, we can make it seven in seven against The Blues [Birmingham City on Saturday].”

After 30 matches played, Villa sit third on the league table, just a point behind second-placed Derby County.

At the end of the season, the top two teams and the winner of the Championship play-offs will earn promotion to the Premier League.
