Ghana international winger Francis Akwaffo has returned to his Egyptian club Al Ittihad Sakndary after cutting short his loan deal with Libyan side Al Nasr.
The talented winger is expected to help Al Ittihad to get back on track in the ongoing Egyptian league.
“I am moving back to my parent club Al Ittihad,” Akwaffo told Goal.com Ghana. “I moved to Al Nasr on loan because the league had been suspended in Egypt and now that the league is ongoing they have called for my immediate come back.”
“The fans did not even want me to go on loan as they were on the neck of the president when I went,” he said.
Akwaffo, 26, was very instrumental for Al Ittihad in their Caf Confederations Cup campaign putting a man-of-the-match performance before they were knocked out by FAR Rabt of Morocco.
