Ghana U20 coach Masud Dramani is optimistic of his team’s qualification to the African Youth Championship despite their first leg setback in Dakar.
The Black Satellites were beaten 3-1 by Senegal at the Demba Diop Stadium on Saturday night.
Dramani, who has another chance to overturn the deficit in a fortnight when Ghana play host to Senegal, believes they can do it.
“We will take these lessons and work together within the period of two weeks and sharpen all rough edges and push hard to qualify for Zambia 2017,” he said
“We are very hopeful, and I know we are capable of doing it, the boys know how important that event is to their development as individual players and the team as a whole.”
Ghana will host Senegal in Accra next two weeks for the second leg of the final round qualifier.
The next African Youth Championship will be held in Zambia 2017.
