Tony Baffoe: Egypt are favourites to qualify ahead of Ghana

Former Ghana player Tony Baffoe feels Egypt stand a better chance to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.

Ghana is in the same Group with Egypt-but after two rounds of matches, the Pharoahs have taken a commanding lead.

Having won all their two games, 2-1 against Congo and 2-0 against Ghana, many feel Egypt are favourites to get out of the group with four matches to end the qualification series.

Tony Baffoe, who is secretary of the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) is part of those who think Egypt is way ahead of Ghana in terms of qualification to the tournament.

"It’s a difficult mission but if we win every game and Egypt loses one game then they will come to us we definitely have to beat them but at the moment Egypt are favourites,” the former FC Cologne of Germany defender told AOIFootball.com.

Egypt will next face Uganda whiles Ghana take on Congo in back to back World Cup qualifiers in September.
