Agbeko is 'cursed' – Samir Captan

Former IBF Bantamweight champion Joseph Agbeko has a spiritual spell cast over his boxing career, former Ghana Boxing Authority President Samir Captan has claimed.

Joseph Agbeko was billed to fight Kenyan Nick Otieno on June 30, 2017 but the bout was called off by the Ghana Boxing Association at the last hour.

The bout was organized by Fresh King Promotions an entity belonging to Agbeko, at the blind side of the GBA hence the Authority’s inability to sanction the bout.

Apparently, former GBA President Samir Captan maintains that beyond the reasons given for the cancellation of the fight, there are spiritual undertones to Agbeko’s failure to meet fight schedules.

“Agbeko is a fine boxer but there is a spiritual problem that is hampering his progress,” Captan revealed to Ultimate FM.

“He [Agbeko] has stepped on a lot of toes. When you infiltrate into people’s territory with them not giving you their permission, they will curse you.”

In a later revelation, the former bantamweight champion has quashed the ‘fraudulent’ tag branded him by GBA boss Peter Zwenne saying he is a noble man and has worked hard to carved an image for himself.
