Afriyie Acquah and Wakaso deserve praise – Dramani

Head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has disclosed to Sportscrusader.com that the performance of Afriyie Aquah and Mubarack Wakaso at the ongoing African Cup of Nations has been the magic for Ghana’s progress so far and that he thinks the two must be applauded.

Didi Dramani believes the introduction of the two in midfield by coach Avram Grant to replace Emmanuel Agyemang Badu and Rabiu Mohammed was a great step.

Didi says the two have also shown determination to impress and that has strengthened our midfield making it very difficult for teams to handle the Black Stars.

“Afriyie Acquah for instance is even yet to get to his rhythm from the angle I see things. This is his first Afcon and I think he is still struggling to gel the way he wants but if you look at the way he has quickly settled in the team with his crunchy tackles and defensive displays, he deserves applause from Ghanaians”, Didi added.

“As for Wakaso, he was just waiting for his time again. Remember in 2013 he was our brightest spot at the Afcon converting almost all our free kicks and penalties, so he was only waiting for the time again.

“And looking at the way the two have marshaled the midfield, I think they have been my men so far. They deserve a lot of praises from Ghanaians” he added. Ghana has qualified for the semi finals of the 2015 Afcon after beating the Syli Nationals of Guinea by 3-0 on Sunday.
