Four powerhouses of African soccer will be representing the home continent next season and one berth remains up for grabs.
The Ivory Coast and Ghana have long had their tickets punched and today the Screaming Eagles from Nigeria secured their berth with a 3-2 win over Kenya combined with Tunisia's stunning 2-1 loss to Mozambique. Also joining the party will be Cameroon who progressed with rather easy 2-0 win over Morocco.
Six games proved not to be enough to separate Egypt and Algeria as the Pharaohs two goal victory over Algeria moved them into a gridlock a top the group. Egypt looked to be dead in the water before an extra time goal tied the game up. Now they will have to play a one game playoff to determine the final African side. The one game playoff will take place in the Sudan.
