Adu-Adjei wins Lipton Medal Golf

Tema, May 1, GNA - Harrison Adu-Adjei returned a net score of 66 to win the Fifth Lipton Bi-Monthly Medal Golf Championship played at the Tema Country Golf Course on Saturday.

The champion who played 45 Back and 48 Front with a Handicap of 28, will be playing to a new Handicap to be determined by the Handicap Committee.

The second position went to Ernest Opoku with 68 net with Richard Boateng placing third with 69 net while Simran Oberoi took the fourth position with 71 net.

The Ladies segment saw Grace Afriyie emerging the champion with 73 net, w with Florence Etwi-Barimah placing second with 75 net while the third position went to Vivian Oberoi whose efforts earned her a 76 net. The one-day 18-Hole Stable-ford competition which was open to amateur golfers throughout the country was sponsored by Unilever Ghana Limited.

Mrs Sylvia Acquah, Category Manager (Food and Beverages) of Unilever Ghana Limited expressed her appreciation about the level of participation in the event.

She gave the assurance that the company would continue to support the Club in its developmental efforts Mr Kweku Okyere, Captain of the Tema Country Golf Club thanked the company for sponsoring the competition for the past months. He expressed the hope that other corporate bodies would support the Club.
