Adiyiah deal in balance

Hannover to consider options before making move for forward

Hannover general manager Jorg Schmadtke has denied the club are set to sign AC Milan's Dominic Adiyiah, despite the player's agent claiming they are in pole position for the striker.

The Ghana international is yet to make an appearance at the San Siro since moving from Norwegian outfit Fredrikstad in the summer of 2010 and had loan spells at Reggina and Partizan last season.

The 21-year-old is widely expected to leave the Italian giants this summer, be it on a temporary or permanent basis, and has been linked with a loan move to the AWD-Arena.

The player's agent, former Hannover player Goran Milovanovic, confirmed the Bundesliga club are favourites to land the striker.

Options

"I am in touch with Hannover," Milovanovic told BILD.

"I would like to work out a move to him to Hannover. This is an affinity of mine. I owe the club much since Hannover was my first club outside Serbia.

"That is why Hannover are favourites."

However, Milovanovic's comments appear to contradict those of Schmadtke, who insists the club are going to assess their current squad before making any further additions.

"We have found back-ups for every position. In terms of doing something more, we should take the time to study and consider options that might become available," Schmadtke told Deutsche Presseagentur.
