Adiyiah Delighted With Reggina Debut

IN his quest to earn a permanent place in the Black Stars, Dominic Adiyiah didn't complain when he was farmed out to Serie B side, Reggina by AC Milan to gain enough playing time as competition for a place in the Milan set-up had become keener than ever especially with the imminent arrival of star striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He was therefore delighted to have made his debut when Reggina traveled to play Siena at the Stadio Artemio Franchi even if he came on as a 77th minute substitute for Benito Nicolas Viola. The former Fredrikstad of Norway striker didn't have enough time, but showed flashes of his brilliance and quick movement that dazzled the world at the FIFA U-20 tournament in Egypt before Milan came calling. Adiyiah told 90 MINUTES after the match that he's delighted to be playing top-flight football again after warming the bench at Milan: “In my opinion, the Serie B is even tougher than the Serie A because of the numerous raw talents available. It wasn't my plan to play in the Serie B but I guess playing there would get me enough playing time. I am very happy for making my debut yesterday (Saturday) but was quite sad that we lost 1-2 to them (Siena). It wasn't an easy match but I am keen to earn a starting role and hope to make up for lost time in the next games,” he told us. Adiyiah is hoping to be in coach Gianluca Atzori's plans when they host Piacenza in their next Seria B fixture. Reggina currently lie 18th on the Serie B table.
