Adisadel Senior High School emerge winners of Zone One Athletics

Cape Coast, Feb. 14, GNA - Adisadel Senior High School came first in the Central Region Zone One Inter- Schools and Colleges Athletic competition when they bagged 175 and half points.

Aggrey Memorial Zion Senior High School took the

second position with 127 points followed by Ghana National

at the third position with 76 points while Edinaman came

fourth with 76 points at the competition held at the Adisadel

College Sports grounds on Friday. Christ the King Academy placed fifth with 66 points with

Eguafo SHS at the sixth position with 62 points, Cape Coast

Technical Institute was seventh with 51 and half points while

Komenda Secondary Technical followed with 35 points. In the Girls division, Aggrey Memorial Zion Senior High

School took the first position with 139 points followed by

Edinaman SHS at the second position with 133 points and

Mfantsiman School was third with 115 points while Ghana

National came fourth with 69 and a half points. Christ the King Academy was fifth with 61 points, Eguafo

School was sixth with 55 and half points, Komenda

Secondary Technical placed seventh with 33 points while

Aburaman SHS followed with 14 points. Ernest Obemeng of Aggrey Memorial Zion School was

adjudged the Best Athlete in the boys division after he came

first in the 100 metres, 200 metres and led his School's relay

quartet to win the 4x100 metres race. Mary Ankai Taylor of Edinaman SHS was also declared

the Best Athlete in the Girls division for winning the 3,000

and 1,500 metre races and came third in the800 metre race as

well as leading her School's relay quartet to place second in

the 4x400 metre race.
