Addo training boost for Borussia

Borussia Dortmund's Ghanaian international Otto Addo has resumed training for the first time in half a year after tearing cruciate ligaments even before the Bundesliga started in July 2001.

"I am feeling fine, but for now the doctors will have the final say about my fitness," said the attacking midfielder, who trained with Borussia at their Spanish camp.

Team doctor Michael Preuhs, however, has called for patience, and warned against rushing the 26-year-old's recovery.

"It doesn't matter how quickly he could return to match action, but that the knee is able to cope with all the challenges," he said.

The nine-times capped Ghana international has not only missed Dortmund's Bundesliga campaign, but the chance to represent his country at the African Nations Cup in Mali.
