Acheampong fumes over poor first half

Great Olympics coach, Yaw Acheampong, believes their bad first half display contributed to the 0-1 loss to Hearts on Saturday.

The Phobians dominated their city rivals in the opening exchanges with Togolese forward Foovi Aguidi finding the opener.

Midfielder Emmanuel Hayford found Aguidi with a pass across goal from which he neatly displaced veteran shot-stopper Richard Kingson for what turned to be the only goal of the game in the 21st minute.

“We started very bad,” the ex-Ghana international told reporters after the defeat to Hearts.

“I will say Hearts dominated the first half but we changed the strategy at recess. We played very well in the second half, had a couple of chances but we couldn’t bury them. I think the only chance they had, they made good use of it.”

Olympics have a big encounter next on Wednesday at home to Asante Kotoko and coach Acheampong

”We have a game on Wednesday. We are going back to plan for the match against Kotoko here [Accra] on Wednesday, said the former defender.
