The Accra Academy Old Boys Association has sent a message of congratulations to Samuel Anim Addo for his election onto the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association.

In a statement signed by its president, the group expressed delight with Anim’s ascension onto the apex committee of Ghana football and urged him to discharge his duties in accordance with the school’s principles and beliefs.

“We are delighted with considerable hope that your capabilities and skills coupled with the Esse Quam Videri spirit will help restore the Ghanaian sports landscape notably football”, excerpts of the statement read.

Anim is one of three persons elected to represent Division One clubs on the newly-constituted Executive Council of the GFA.

Anim who is the manager of legendary Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan polled 19 votes to secure a seat on the committee.

After the victory, he joined fellow 'Bleoobi' Randy Abbey to sing the school’s anthem.

He has now emerged as one of the frontrunners for the FA’s vice presidential post.
